So, I've been working on getting Micki to say "Mama" over the past couple of weeks. No matter what she's doing, when I start saying "Ma ma ma ma ma" she stops and watches my lips intently. Yesterday, when MIL dropped her off, she told me that around 6pm, Micki started babbling and she was saying "Ma ma ma ma." So, when I was walking upstairs with her, I was asking her "Can you say Ma ma ma?" and she looked at my lips and whispered "Ma ma ma ma." SOOOO cute! Of course, now, that's all she wants to say.
I had her do it this morning for Sol, who is intensely jealous. ;-) He's on a "da da" kick now. Heh. I consoled him by telling him it's just indiscriminate babbling... for now. Mwahahaha.
We're in sooooooo much trouble now.
And, lest you think Daddy put her up to this, I found her standing in her crib this morning. She yelped out when she couldn't figure out how to sit back down.
My kid is barely sitting without support and isn't even crawling yet (but she can creep like no one's business). How is she pulling herself to a stand already?!? Needless, we lowered her crib today.
Now that Grandma is here, I have to post a regular Micki-Fix.
Someone got a new big(ger) girl tub. She takes baths in the big-people tub inside her blow-up tub. She's in splashy-heaven! She actually sits up by herself for most of her bath now - I only have to support her while I'm washing her. Here she is, after sitting in her Ducky Tub for the first time
And here, we have Micki-Doodle with her new teething toy, the salto.
And, finally, I caved and bought a Halloween costume for her. We tried it on tonight and although it's a little big now, I'm sure that in two months, it'll be purrrrrfect.

And then, a pic of Micki, sporting her new duckie onesie,

And finally, a video. Mick is teething, big-time, so I froze her teether and gave it to her while I was getting her bath ready. I caught her just being cute.
Guess who has two little teefers starting to pop through her gums? Can it be? Can my little mama be getting her teeth in already? T'is true.
Honestly, I had no clue that she was teething in earnest yet. She's been drooling, gumming, mouthing, etc for weeks now. I finally stopped checking for teeth this past week. She hasn't really changed much, in disposition, so I was surprised to feel them edging through when I popped my pinkie into her mouth today to pacify her. Maybe I'll get super lucky and teething won't be too tough. Shoot, last night, she slept from 8'ish to 5am, so I can't complain about that!
Anyhow, here are crawling movies, as promised.
My little one is six months old, yesterday. :-) We have
her 6 month WBV tomorrow, so hopefully, that will go well. I
stuck her on the scale at the ped's office last week and she was 15lbs
with clothes on - quel petite!
She picked up a mild cold. Must be the reason for her fever
last weekend. She has a cough that's much better this morning
than yesterday and she woke up with crusted up snot under her
nose. Pretty! She's still her smiley, silly self, though.
Granny Renee took Micki to the movies yesterday! Granny
reported that she was a model baby and didn't make one peep. She,
of course, tried to get Granny's popcorn, but Granny offered her a
bottle and she conked out.
Micki is army crawling now. Sol put her at the
foot of the bed yesterday and showed me how she scoots on her tummy
(reaching and lunging). She got all the way to our pillows, where
she was rewarded with the DVR remote - one of her most enchanting
temptations these days. How is my little baby CRAWLING
already?!? I'll post a video of her army crawl tomorrow.
